Our company offers a new package that allows you to take a look inside the world of Hungarian folk musical and dance tradition on Friday night, then take on a symphonic concert on Saturday, and enjoy the finest works of Chopin, Liszt, Erkel, Haydn and Bartók uniquely accompanied by the traditional Hungarian instrument known as the cimbalom (hammer duclimer). If you reserve your ticket now, we will give you a discount price for your Symphonic Concert tickets.
Mozart, Liszt or Gershwin for symphony orchestra and Hungarian cimbalom (hammer dulcimer)? Outside Hungary it sounds unusual to include a typical Hungarian folk instrument, the cimbalom to perform with a symphony orchestra, but in Hungary the beauty of this instrumental combination has been known since the 19th century. Join us for an unforgettable musical travel á la hongroise through the most beautiful classical melodies ever. More about the symphony concert >>>
The Hungarian State Folk Ensemble, the Danube Folk Ensemble and the Hungaria Folk Ensemble & Orchestra are three of the best professional hungarian folk ensembles with the longest tradition (since 1951, 1957 and 1952). The performed dances give the viewer a broad insight into hungarian music, dance and costume heritage, covering traditions of former parts of Hungary as well. More about the folklore performances >>>
